Stefan Jacobs, the senior member of TechTransform's Convergence Team, possesses deep domain experience in the media and marketing industries. He formerly served as President of a TechTransform Convergence project (see news).
Before his TechTransform work, Stefan served as President of the venture-funded entertainment marketing platform iMovieStudio, where his responsibilities included fund-raising and developing strategic alliances that created unfair competitive advantages.
Today, in addition to his TechTransform role, Jacobs consults to a variety of video on demand companies, including promising Silicon Valley start-ups InterStream, LLC and Teleconverge. As a partner in International Digital Artists Entertainment Corp., he focuses on content strategy and acquisition for Japan and other international markets.
Jacobs is also involved in traditional media -- primarily through his partnership in RogueArts/Film Kitchen -- a company that has produced 4 and distributed 17 indpendent films. Previous assignments included stints at Universal Pictures marketing, in screenwriter and director management, and in the LBO and publishing industries.
Jacobs' areas of expertise include business development, strategy, start-up operations, and team building. He says:
In the information age, more than the three quarters of the value of any business is a function of human capital. Unfortunately, most companies fail to utilize 25% of this asset. It is in this gap that the greatest efficiencies, innovations, competitive advantages, and business model improvements can be gained.
